Paz para el desarrollo
Terminó la incertidumbre. Terminó el agitado periodo electoral y los problemas del país son casi los mismos. En todo el mundo, en realidad, las sociedades avanzan y con ese crecimiento aparecen nuevos retos que se resuelvan o no, dan lugar a situaciones complejas en las que debemos desarrollar nuestras actividades.
Minas & Pozos tuvo conocimiento del plan para el sector minero energético y considera que se trata del conjunto de medidas que hacían falta. Los actores económicos esperan un buen gobierno del doctor Alan García Pérez. En Minas & Pozos confiamos en que será así. El auge del sector minero energético, que viene impactando positivamente en la economía nacional, necesita que se haga realidad esa promesa porque es necesario mantener el crecimiento para encarar los graves problemas estructurales que están pendientes de solución.
La minería, la explotación del petróleo y el gas así como la generación, transporte y distribución de electricidad requieren un marco legal estable que les permita aumentar su oferta de productos. Hay que asegurar el suministro futuro y reforzar condiciones que nos permitan atender las crecientes demandas del mercado mundial.
Y ya que hablamos de exterior debemos advertir que el contexto internacional es también complejo. La crisis energética de Chile y Argentina, la nacionalización de hidrocarburos en Bolivia, el auge de las petroleras estatales de Brasil y Venezuela, los negocios energéticos con Ecuador y Colombia deben ser adecuadamente analizados y reclaman un liderazgo que no hemos tenido hasta la fecha.
Durante el gobierno del doctor Alan García nuestra economía debe continuar creciendo. Las empresas del sector minero energético han dado demasiadas pruebas de que pueden aportar lo suyo a este crecimiento. Para que ese propósito se haga realidad deseamos al nuevo gobierno mucho éxito en su gestión.
Peace for development
The uncertainty at last is over. The frenetic electoral period has ended, but the problems in this country are still the same. Anywhere in the world, in fact, societies advance, and with that growth appear new challenges that are either met or not, giving rise to complex situations in which we must undertake our activities.
Minas & Pozos has learned of the plans for the power/ mining sector and we believe that this is a combination of measures that is long overdue. Economic stakeholders are hoping for a good government from Alan Garcia Perez; we at Minas & Pozos are confident that it will be so. The peak of the power/ mining sector, which has been having a quite positive effect on the national economy, needs that promise to become reality, because it is so essential to maintain growth in order to face the serious structural problems still awaiting solution.
Mining, petroleum and gas operation as well as the generation, transport and distribution of electricity all require a stable legal framework that allows increasing their offering of products. Future supply must be assured, reinforcing conditions that allow us to attend to the increasing demands from the global market.
And since we are speaking of foreign markets, we must note that the international context is also complex. The power crises in Chile and Argentina, the hydrocarbon nationalization in Bolivia, the rise of state oil companies in Brazil and Venezuela and the energy deals with Ecuador and Colombia must be adequately analyzed, which demands a leadership that to date has been sorely missing.
During the new Garcia government our economy must continue growing. Companies in the power/ mining sector have given more than sufficient proof that it can contribute more than its share to this growth. In order for this to become reality we wish the incoming government the best of success in its administration.
